2024 Demonstrator Form

Terms:

  1. Setup is Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM ONLY! No setup after these hours.

  2. Tear Down starts on Sunday April 14, 2024 at 4:00 PM and should be completed by 6:30 PM. Tear down before 4:00 PM must be approved by the show chairperson.

  3. BADGES identifying Demonstrators must be worn for admittance. The first badge will have your name on it. Fill out the lines below if you wish to include someone who is assisting you. (limit 3 assistants)

  4. SELLING: A Demonstrator is not a Dealer and is not allowed to sell anything without the written permission of the Show Chair.



  5. AISLES AND ENTRANCES: Aisles and entrances shall be under the control of Golden Spike Gem and Mineral Society and subject to the regulations of Golden Spike Event Center.

  6. INSURANCE AND LIABILITY: The Golden Spike Gem and Mineral Society will not be responsible for the safety of any items owned by Demonstrators from robbery, pilferage, and damage by fire, accident or any other cause. Demonstrators who wish to insure their goods and displays may do so at their own expense. Demonstrators’ will indemnify and hold Golden Spike Gem and Mineral Society harmless from any and all liabilities arising out of or in connection with the installation of, operation and removal of Demonstrator property.

  7. CONDUCT: Golden Spike Gem and Mineral Society show chair shall have the right, at his/her sole discretion to remove items, merchandise, advertisements, or any other feature which in his/her opinion is objectionable under current community standards or is against any laws of the state of Utah, ordinances of Weber County, and rules of the Golden Spike Event Center.

  8. STATE TAX: There is a state sales tax in Utah. A document must be filed and the taxes paid by the Demonstrator (if permission is granted to sell items) direct to the Utah State Tax Commission. The necessary tables and forms will be furnished to Demonstrator by the Golden Spike Gem and Mineral Society at or before opening of the show.

  9. APPLICATIONS: The Golden Spike Gem and Mineral Society shall have the sole right to determine whether or not to accept any applications submitted, and shall not be held liable for the rejection of any applications.

  10. CHANGES: Golden Spike Gem and Mineral Society reserves the right to make such changes, additions and amendments to these rules and regulations as it may consider necessary for the conduct of the show; or for the benefit of the general public, dealers, exhibitors, demonstrators, and other participants in the show. The Golden Spike Gem and Mineral Society decision shall be final.

  11. Demonstrator will be personally liable for any damage to building or property caused by Demonstrator.
